Dating to the early modern period with exceptional craftsmanship and proportion. Subtly lacquered with lemon and red toned motif of a lotus leaf. Repeated pattern in the original rice paper shades. The lacquer work is exquisite. Off centered brass stem holds a three bulb arrangement of glass bowl and two down lights which allow for a variety of brightness and mood. I have sold a lot of lamps; these are easily my favorites from 25 years of hunting. Possibly Paul Frankl or Billy Haines design.
